Dr. Kristin Allison Jones
Dr. Jones was born and raised in Marion, and is proud to return to her home to serve the local community. As a young child, Dr. Jones required some extensive dental work to correct issues with her smile. Her relationship with her childhood dentist and orthodontist is what inspired her to pursue a dental career.
Dr. Jones obtained her undergraduate degree from Gardner-Webb University in 2015. After graduating with her dental degree from UNC Chapel Hill, she worked as an associate dentist for several years. Her desire to provide truly personalized care and serve her community led her back to Marion, where she opened up Sugar Hill Smiles. Dr. Jones focuses on providing honest, transparent, and expert dental care for every patient who walks into our doors.
When she’s not working at Sugar Hill Smiles, Dr. Jones enjoys baking, horseback riding, and volunteering with her church. Dr. Jones and her husband also love hiking, camping, and traveling the world.

Your First Dental Visit
Check in with our office staff and relax in our comfortable waiting area. When it’s time for your visit, one of our hygienists will bring you back to the operating room. They will take a set of X-rays. Then, your hygienist will inspect, clean, and polish your teeth.
Once that’s done, Dr. Jones will enter the room. She’ll check your X-rays and perform an exam of her own. Then, she’ll go over her findings with you. If there aren’t any issues, you’ll just need to schedule your next six-month visit. But if there is a problem, Dr. Jones will explain the issue and your treatment options. Our team will work with you to set up a treatment plan that fits into your schedule and your budget.
What to Bring
You’ll need to bring a method of payment such as a credit or debit card, as well as your insurance card (if applicable). Your health history and dental records from previous dentists are also nice to have if possible, but are not required.

How We Give Back
At our dental practice, we believe in giving back to the community and making a positive impact on the lives of young people. That's why we're proud to sponsor children for a month of membership at Hope 29:11, an incredible organization that helps at-risk kids develop essential life skills, confidence, and a sense of responsibility through hands-on experiences with animals and nature. By supporting this program, we aim to empower these children and provide them with opportunities for personal growth and discovery. It's just one of the ways we strive to create smiles both inside and outside of our practice.
